Kinematics Drives Product Integration and Strategic Growth with Addition of Magnus Asbo
Former SolarEdge Executive is New Chief Product and Strategy Officer
PHOENIX, AZ, February 25, 2025 – Kinematics, a global leader in intelligent motion control solutions, announced that Magnus Asbo has joined the company as Chief Product and Strategy Officer. Asbo assumed this role on January 1, 2025.

Asbo will oversee the company’s product strategy and integration initiatives, including its strategic acquisition of Spain-based P4Q, which closed early 2025. P4Q is the leading independent supplier of solar tracker controllers and has extensive capabilities in sensors, software, analysis, and IoT. This acquisition will enable Kinematics to deliver a unified motion control solution to the world’s premier solar tracker original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to simplify installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Building on the momentum of this acquisition, Asbo will spearhead the development of comprehensive product strategies, lead the execution of controller and satellite communications product lines, and guide strategic planning initiatives to support the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Prior to joining Kinematics, Asbo led the successful launch of SolarEdge’s North American home storage product portfolio. His extensive experience includes leading product management positions at SunEdison, Enphase Energy, and Dell/Turin Networks. Asbo also served as Head of Solution Sales Management at Nokia Siemens Networks. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara, and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
